Perched at an altitude of 2,645 metres in the heart of the Val de Bagnes, the FXB Panossière Hut offers a spectacular vantage point over the glacial world of the Grand Combin, one of the iconic peaks of the Valais Alps. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, it overlooks the Corbassière Glacier, providing panoramic views of shimmering seracs, rugged ridgelines, and the steep rock faces of the massif.
A must-visit stop for hikers, mountaineers, and mountain lovers. Thanks to the Corbassière Footbridge, which spans the torrent flowing from the glacier, the site has become one of the region’s most iconic destinations.
Whether you’re tackling a stage of the Tour des Combins, embarking on an alpine climb, or simply admiring the ice giants in a pristine setting, the Cabane de Panossière is a true gem of the Swiss high mountains.
To fully enjoy the beauty of the scenery, we recommend reaching the Cabane de Panossière via the Cabane de Brunet, passing through the Col des Avouillons and across the Corbassière Glacier suspension bridge. On the way back, the descent to Fionnay offers a different yet equally spectacular view, taking you from glacial panoramas to forests and alpine pastures.
