Hiking

Description

Lake Louvie, located at an altitude of 2,213 metres, is a true mountain gem, accessible on foot from Verbier or Fionnay. Nestled in the heart of a wild valley, it offers exceptional views of the Combins massif and the surrounding peaks.
From Verbier, the route begins with the cable cars to La Chaux, then continues along the marked Sentier des Chamois trail, offering spectacular views of the mountain pastures and peaks. From Fionnay, the trail climbs gradually through meadows and forests, allowing you to fully enjoy the richness of the alpine flora and fauna.
Halfway along the route, the Cabane de Louvie is an ideal place to rest, admire the scenery or spend the night in an authentic and peaceful setting. The lake, surrounded by rocks and mountain pastures, is the perfect place to contemplate the beauty of nature and breathe in the pure mountain air. The hike to the lake is accessible to hikers in good physical condition and offers an immersive experience in a preserved environment, far from the hustle and bustle of the valleys.
