The Mauvoisin Dam, towering at 250 meters, is one of the most impressive structures in Switzerland. The route to reach it passes through a former 392-meter tunnel. Between rock, raw concrete, and cold light, the path retraces the major stages of its construction and immerses visitors in a unique atmosphere. Winding its way through an old tunnel, this educational trail guides you on your ascent. It not only explains the process of electricity production but also tells the story of the dam’s construction. From the very top of the dam, which features a different photography exhibition each summer, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking view: a lake, waterfalls, and mountains and valleys that stretch as far as the eye can see.
For the more adventurous, nearby hiking and enduro mountain biking routes offer a full immersion into the untamed wilderness.
